Aremu to Resign from Role as Deputy to Bishop Oyedepo.
The two Vice Presidents of the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishops David Abioye and Thomas Aremu, are set to retire after serving for over 40 and 30 years, respectively, under the leadership of Bishop David oyedepo.
This retirement aligns with the church’s updated operational guidelines, called “The Mandate,” which recently lowered the retirement age from 60 to 55.Bishop Abioye is currently 63, while Bishop Aremu is 67, making them both eligible for retirement under the new rules.
The revised law allows Bishop Oyedepo to continue serving for life, while future church leaders will be limited to one or two terms of seven years each, pending approval from the Board of Trustees.
Bishop Abioye’s farewell service is scheduled for Friday, October 18, 2024, in Durumi, Abuja, while Bishop Aremu’s farewell will take place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the LFC Basorun in Ibadan, Oyo State.
