Wizkid Cancels Key U.S. Dates for Upcoming ‘Morayo’ Tour

Grammy Award-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid has called off several major U.S. stops on his much-anticipated ‘Morayo’ world tour.
The acclaimed singer, best known for hits like IDK, had been scheduled to make a powerful return to live performances following a break that began after the heartbreaking loss of his mother in 2023. Unfortunately, fans in the United States will have to wait longer, as several high-profile concert dates have now been cancelled.
The affected shows include:
- June 5 – State Farm Arena, Atlanta, GA
- June 7 – Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
- June 19 – Toyota Center, Houston, TX

So far, no official statement has been released by Wizkid or his management team to explain the cancellations or whether rescheduled dates are being considered. Fans, eager for clarification, continue to wait for a formal update.
Despite the U.S. cancellations, the European leg of the ‘Morayo’ Tour appears to be moving forward without any changes, as no delays or adjustments have been announced.
A screenshot from Ticketmaster confirming the cancellations has circulated widely online, leading to an outpouring of mixed reactions on social media. Many fans have expressed disappointment while others continue to show support and understanding for the artist.
Wizkid cancelling his tour without a detailed explanation may seem unfair to fans, but it’s not unusual in the music industry. Artists cancel shows all the time for personal reasons — it’s normal. The difference here is that people often hold Wizkid to a different standard.

This is also what wizkid is getting from being nonchalant. In this world, nothing is free. If you want something you go for it.

You released a very good album, just digital PR. You don’t even put your face out there and boom, you want to do an arena tour in America. Cmon now
