TikTok Star Peller Attributes Academic Struggles to Parents’ Divorce
Popular Nigerian TikTok creator Peller has revealed that his parents’ divorce played a major role in his academic challenges during his school years.
Speaking in an interview with broadcaster Frank Edoho, Peller shared how the lack of structure and disciplinary support at home affected his performance in school.
“When I was in secondary school, I used to fail my exams. My classmates’ fathers would punish them for their low marks, but no one punished me at home because my parents were divorced. I was staying with my mother and even she was hustling,” he said.
The interview clip has since gone viral, generating a wave of reactions on social media. Some users expressed sympathy, while others responded with criticism and humor.
Reactions include:
- @ololade63: “While your mum was hustling, you were busy failing.”
- @_damhii: “Frank just dey shade him!”
- @therealmacrock: “This is heartbreaking.”
- @jamesgodwin504: “What’s going on here?”
The discussion has sparked broader conversations around the impact of family structure on children’s academic development.
