Offset shooting incident in Hollywood, Florida

Offset was reportedly shot on Monday evening near the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. The incident occurred shortly after 7:00 p.m., according to reports first published by TMZ.

Local authorities confirmed that two suspects were detained and that the situation was quickly brought under control. In a statement, police said: “An incident occurred at a valet area after 7pm Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, resulting in non-life threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital. Two individuals have been detained. The investigation is ongoing. The site is secure, and operations continue as normal.”

A representative for Offset, whose legal name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, told Variety that he is receiving medical care and remains in stable condition. “We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care. He is stable and being closely monitored,” the spokesperson said.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been fully disclosed.

Offset, aged 34, is known as a member of the hip-hop group Migos, alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff. The group, formed in 2008, achieved commercial success with songs such as “Bad and Boujee” and albums including Culture (2017).

Migos disbanded in 2023 following the death of Takeoff, who was fatally shot in 2022 outside a bowling alley in Houston at the age of 28. At the time, Offset publicly expressed his grief, stating: “The pain you have left me with is unbearable. My heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words.”
