“Now I’m 41 & Still Single” – Nigerian Woman Regrets Chasing Only Rich Men in Her 20s
A 41-year-old Nigerian woman, Ada Ozor, has opened up about her struggles with finding a husband, revealing how her past decisions have left her single and unhappy.
In an interview with content creator Lucky Udu, Ada shared how her perspective on marriage has evolved over the years. Reflecting on her younger days, she admitted that financial security was her top priority when choosing a partner.
“In my 20s, I wanted a man that had money, I am sorry to say this. I just have to be honest about it. I needed someone who could take care of me, provide my needs, and support my family,” she said.
She recounted rejecting a marriage proposal from an apprentice because he was not financially stable at the time, despite his promises of a better future.
Struggles in Her 30s
As she entered her 30s, Ada’s perspective changed, and she was ready to settle down. However, she found it increasingly difficult to find a committed partner.
“When I got to my 30s, I thought, ‘Ha, I need to settle down now.’ But then I started struggling. There was no suitor. Every man that approached me would say he wanted to marry me, but after some time, they would disappear or disappoint me,” she lamented.
She recalled her longest relationship—a three-year romance with a man living in Qatar—that ultimately did not lead to marriage.
Turning to Social Media for Love
Now at 41, Ada has taken her search for love online, sharing her story in hopes of finding a life partner. Her journey has sparked discussions about priorities, timing, and the challenges of modern relationships.
