In a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, the 59-year-old actress described the challenges she endured, including demands for sexual favors in exchange for roles and criticism over her dark skin tone.

Jumoke recounted that directors often suggested she bleach her skin to fit narrow beauty standards, but she proudly refused. She revealed that one director even told her she was being blacklisted for rejecting sexual advances, using the phrase “removal of pants” to illustrate the industry’s demands.

Despite the setbacks, Jumoke stood firm in her values, choosing not to compromise her integrity. She emphasized that her decision to walk away from these expectations was essential to preserving her dignity and self-respect.
