Hollyoaks Actress Alexandra Louise Bastian Reveals Breast Cancer Diagnosis

Alexandra Louise Bastian, the popular English actress best known for her role in the TV series Hollyoaks, has opened up about her fight against breast cancer.

In a heartfelt Instagram post on Monday, the 42-year-old actress revealed she was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer while she was still breastfeeding.

Describing the diagnosis as a “total shock,” Bastian opened up about her ongoing treatment, which includes chemotherapy.

Bastian also disclosed that she would undergo a single mastectomy and radiotherapy as part of her medical care.

In her emotional post, Bastian shared how she is grappling with the reality of her diagnosis.

“It was a total shock. I have mornings when I wake up and I have forgotten. Then suddenly, I remember. I’m still trying to process it,” she wrote.

She initially thought her symptoms were linked to breastfeeding, suspecting a blocked duct. However, after noticing the lump wasn’t clearing up, Bastian sought medical attention. “The more I felt it, the more it seemed like it wasn’t just a blocked duct. I went to my GP and said, ‘Actually, can I go to the clinic now?’ She was very supportive of that,” the actress added.
