Edo Election: “When Will We Stop Being Deceived?” – Davido Criticizes INEC
Recently Davido shared his thoughts on the Edo State governorship election amid concerns over alleged electoral malpractice. Despite not being a native of Edo, he emphasized his connection through his late mother, Imade Veronica Adeleke, who was from the state.
On social media platform X, Davido expressed his dissatisfaction with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), criticizing its management of the election.
He encouraged Edo citizens to fight for their rights and expressed frustration over the commission’s practices, particularly its decision not to transmit results electronically.
Davido’s concerns reflect his broader interest in Nigeria’s political integrity. He previously endorsed the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Asuen Ighodalo, for the governorship and recalled his involvement in the Osun State elections, where his uncle, Ademola Adeleke, won.
He concluded his comments by urging INEC to uphold fairness in the electoral process, as the election results remain highly scrutinized.
