DJ Pretty Play Opens Up: “I’m Tired of My Body Trending, Not My Career” (Video)
Nigerian female disc jockey, Princess Ntuk, popularly known as DJ Pretty Play, has voiced her frustration over the constant attention her physique receives, rather than her work as a professional DJ.
In an emotional video shared on Instagram, the curvy entertainer broke down in tears, lamenting how discussions about her often center on her appearance—particularly her backside—rather than her skills behind the turntables.
DJ Pretty Play, admired for both her beauty and talent, expressed deep disappointment that her career is being overshadowed by social media conversations about her body. She made a heartfelt plea to fans and the public, urging them to focus on her craft rather than her looks.
“Please, I’m a professional DJ and very good at what I do, but what seems to interest you guys is my ass,” she said in frustration.
“Guys, please, I’m tired. Every time I wake up, what trends about me is my ass, not my talent or DJ career.”
“Why? Please, I’m tired of this. Am I not a good DJ? I’m a professional DJ, the attention should be on my craft.”
Her message highlights a common struggle faced by many female entertainers who wish to be recognized for their skills rather than their physical features. Despite her challenges, DJ Pretty Play remains committed to her passion, hoping that her talent will eventually take center stage.
