Davido Nominates ‘Timeless’ Album for the 2024 Grammy Awards
Davido has set his sights on clinching Album of the Year and Best Global Music Album.
The biggest night in music is officially underway. The nominations for the 2024 Grammys are set to be held on November 10, 2023. Davido has set his sights on winning multiple awards, including Album of the Year.
The Recording Academy has introduced three additional award categories for the 66th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled to take place on February 4, 2024. These new categories include Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording.
Everyone is eagerly watching to see which Afrobeats superstar will earn a nomination and emerge as the winner in the newly introduced category of Best African Music Performance. The new father of two has submitted his Timeless album, hit singles Unavailable and Feel for possible Grammy nominations. WeTalkSound has provided the following list of submitted categories:
- Album of the Year, Best Global Music Album: Timeless
- Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best African Music Performance: Unavailable
- Best Global Music Performance: Feel
Ahead of the 66th Grammy Awards, a total of 122 songs have been submitted for consideration in the Best African Performance category. Among the contenders, Davido’s fourth studio album ‘Timeless,’ released in March through Davido Music Worldwide, features 17 tracks, including notable songs like Unavailable featuring Musa Keys, Away, Picasso, Na Money, Over Dem and Feel.
His mega single Unavailable has become the only Afrobeats song released in 2023 to have surpassed 91 Million streams while Feel has 31 million on Spotify.
