Billionaire Chief Ikuku Explains Why He Values Friendship With Davido
Nigerian billionaire and philanthropist, Chief Ikuku, has spoken about his close friendship with Afrobeat star Davido, highlighting the singer’s humility and generosity as the foundation of their bond.
Speaking at a private event in Lagos, Chief Ikuku said his admiration for Davido goes beyond fame. “I love Davido not because he is a superstar, but because of the kind of human being he is. He has a good heart, he is always ready to help people, and he is very humble despite being one of the biggest artists in the world,” he said.
The businessman noted that he had personally witnessed Davido supporting people quietly, without publicity. “There are many times I’ve seen Davido help people without announcing it. He doesn’t wait for cameras. He just does it naturally, and that’s the kind of person I love to associate with,” he added.
Chief Ikuku also praised Davido’s resilience, saying the singer had turned personal and professional challenges into motivation to grow stronger.
Describing Davido as family, he explained that their friendship extends beyond public events to private moments of advice and encouragement. “For me, it’s not about money or popularity. It’s about love and loyalty. Davido is a loyal person, and he has shown me that countless times,” he said.
Chief Ikuku urged young Nigerians to emulate Davido’s humility and generosity, stressing that true greatness is measured by the positive impact on others.
