Actor Lekan 220 Reveals Background, Says He Was Raised by Muslim Cleric Parents

Nollywood actor Olamilekan Ayinla, popularly known as Lekan 220, has opened up about his upbringing and family background, revealing that he comes from a deeply religious home despite leading a different lifestyle.
Speaking in an interview on Talk2Dunnis TV via YouTube, the actor disclosed that his father is a Muslim cleric while his mother is a devoted Muslim who covers her head and face with a hijab.
In his words, Lekan 220 said, “My dad is a Muslim cleric, and my mom covers her head and face with a hijab, but I’m a bad boy.”
He further shared that although he hails from Ilorin, Kwara State, he was born and raised in Mile 12, Lagos State, which he described as a major part of his life story. According to him, he did not attend formal primary or secondary school but studied at an Arabic school in Lagos, where he began learning under his father.
The actor added that nearly all members of his family are Arabic scholars, emphasizing the strong Islamic foundation of his upbringing.
