Tinubu’s Aide Accuses Senator Ndume of Favoritism in Job Placements
A fresh wave of controversy has hit the political scene following accusations against Senator Ali Ndume of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Daniel Bwala, Special Adviser on Policy Communication to President Bola Tinubu, has openly criticized the senator for allegedly using his influence to secure high-profile jobs at key institutions like the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for his children and close allies.
As reported by Channels TV and Punch Newspaper, Bwala pointed out the glaring inequality in Ndume’s actions, claiming that while the senator ensures prestigious jobs for those in his inner circle, the children of the less privileged are often left with no option but to join the military or the Nigeria Customs Service.
Bwala stated, “Ndume secures jobs for his children and close associates in top institutions like the CBN and NNPC, but children of the poor are pushed into the Army or Customs.” He further alleged that Ndume has failed to meaningfully empower members of his own constituency, which he says contradicts the ideals the APC claims to uphold.
The remarks have sparked intense debate, as questions are being raised about equity, fairness, and the use of political office for personal gain versus public service.
