JUST IN: Atiku Accuses Tinubu Government of Paying Opposition Leaders N50m Each

Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has accused the Tinubu administration of paying opposition leaders 50 million naira each to undermine democracy.
Speaking at a national conference on strengthening democracy, Atiku alleged that some opposition leaders admitted to receiving these payments, raising concerns about the erosion of democratic values in Nigeria.
He criticized the National Assembly for acting as a rubber stamp for the government and questioned the credibility of the electoral umpire. Reflecting on his personal sacrifices for democracy, Atiku urged opposition parties to unite and stand firm in defense of the nation’s democratic principles.
“Do we truly want to fight for democracy, or are we merely pretending?” Atiku asked, emphasizing the need for collective action.
