Ex-Rivers PDP Spokesman Alleges Marginalization of Fubara Loyalists
Tambari Sydney-Gbara, the former Publicity Secretary of the Rivers State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has raised concerns over alleged marginalization of loyalists to Governor Siminalayi Fubara within the party.
In an interview with TVC News, Sydney-Gbara claimed that their steadfast support for the governor has led to their exclusion from key party positions and decision-making processes.
“Just because we are supporting the governor as a party, you cannot control a government and abandon the government halfway. The government of the day is led by His Excellency Sir Siminalayi Fubara. That was our crime—our names were removed,” he said.
He criticized influential party members for sidelining those loyal to the governor, warning that such actions could create unnecessary division and weaken the party’s unity in Rivers State.
Sydney-Gbara urged party stakeholders to prioritize collaboration and respect for the governor’s leadership, emphasizing the need to put the party’s collective interests above personal agendas.
