Seun Kuti Addresses the Rift Between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington

Singer Seun Kuti has weighed in on the ongoing rift between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington, distancing himself from the drama.

The conflict began after Speed Darlington was arrested for suggesting that Burna Boy was involved in an illicit relationship with American music executive Diddy to secure a Grammy nomination.

During an Instagram Live session, Seun Kuti clarified that although Burna Boy had gifted him diamond jewelry, it didn’t imply that he was a close adviser to the Grammy-winning artist. He firmly stated that he wanted no involvement in the feud.

“Don’t involve me in Burna Boy and Speed Darlington’s case; just because I collected a diamond from him doesn’t mean I’m his close adviser,” Kuti explained.

Seun Kuti also addressed Speed Darlington’s claims about Diddy, noting that Diddy had actually played a key role in making Speed Darlington’s song “Bangdadang” popular by reposting it. He pointed out that despite his own musical success, Diddy had never reposted any of his tracks.

“Diddy was even the one who made Speed Darlington popular. He reposted ‘Bangdadang,’ which made the song popular. I’ve done a lot of songs, and Diddy never posted any of them, but he reposted Speed Darlington’s song,” Kuti emphasized.
