BREAKING: Nigerian Man Caught in India with ₦32M Worth of Cocaine
Indian police have arrested 44-year-old Michael Okafar Odikpo, a Nigerian national, for allegedly supplying cocaine from Goa to Mangaluru. He was caught with 30 grams of cocaine, cash, and a vehicle used for the operation.
The arrest followed an investigation into a March 2024 drug bust in Ullal, where suspects revealed they sourced cocaine from a Goa-based dealer. This led authorities to Odikpo in Calangute.
Police seized cocaine, cash, mobile phones, a car, and a digital weighing machine, valued at Rs 11.25 lakh (approximately ₦32 million).
Odikpo, originally from Lagos, Nigeria, entered India in 2012 on a business visa and reportedly shifted to narcotics dealing in Goa after living briefly in Mumbai. He has three prior drug-related cases registered against him in Goa.
This operation highlights Karnataka police’s intensified efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks.
