NYSC Member Dies After Slumping at Kebbi Orientation Camp

A female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, Tayachibiyacha Ebal, deployed to Kebbi State, tragically slumped and passed away at the Dakin Gari Orientation Camp.

According to Naija News, Ebal collapsed unexpectedly and was immediately rushed to the camp clinic for urgent medical attention. She was later transferred to the Federal Medical Centre, Birnin-Kebbi, for advanced care. Despite the doctors’ efforts to save her, Ebal was pronounced dead.

Confirming the unfortunate incident, the Kebbi State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Muhammad Fingila, expressed his condolences to the grieving family and revealed that Ebal’s remains had been returned to her home state, Adamawa.

As of the time of reporting, the NYSC Kebbi State office has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.

In a separate development:
A lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Dr. Fabian Osita, was reportedly murdered by unidentified assailants on Monday night. The incident occurred near the high-tension area in Aroma, Awka, as Dr. Osita was returning home from work.

Witnesses reported that the attackers attempted to steal his vehicle but shot him in the head when he resisted.
