Lagos State Government Shuts Down Supermarket for Selling Expired Products (Video)
The Lagos State Government has shut down a supermarket in the FESTAC area for selling expired products to unsuspecting customers.
Tokunbo Wahab, the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, revealed the action on social media, stating that the owner of the supermarket would face prosecution for endangering public health.
The Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) sealed off Blessed Happy Homes Superstore, located at 6th Avenue, 13th Road, FESTAC Town. The store was found to be violating health and safety regulations by selling expired goods, thereby compromising consumer safety and well-being.
Authorities have confirmed that the supermarket owner will be held accountable through legal proceedings to address the misconduct.
