The police commands of Lagos and Ogun States have started a joint patrol on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to enhance security in the area.

Recently, gunmen kidnapped the chairman of the Lagos State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Philip Aivoji, and some other party chieftains at the Ogere area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
