Basketmouth Plans to Reintroduce 2Baba to Nollywood

Renowned comedian, rapper, and actor Bright Okpocha, famously known as Basketmouth, encourages legendary musician Innocent Ujah Idibia, also known as 2Baba, to fully immerse himself in the movie industry.

Commending 2Baba’s role in the latest episode of his skits, The Secret Of Lulu, Basketmouth admonished him to pursue a full acting career with his Tiv

He said he already creating a project for 2Baba’s comic character in the skit.

“My brother @official2baba we should create something beautiful from this character you played here, I think it’s going to be a masterpiece. My brain don dey cook something already. Think about it blood,” Basketmouth wrote.

Basketmouth is one of Nigeria’s most successful stand-up comedians. He started as a drummer in 1991 before drifting into rapping in 1994.

In 1995, he created “Da Psychopaths,” a group of seven people, and started performing and rapping. However, the group disbanded before issuing any recordings. In 2005, Bright was discovered by Oppa Williams when he participated in his comedy program “Night of a Thousand Laughs.”

Basketmouth appeared in “My Flatmates,” an African magic show, in 2016. In addition, he recently announced the release of his online comic series “Papa Benji” in December 2020.

2Baba on the other hand has previously featured in some Nollywood movies including ‘Head Gone,’ ‘Make A Move,’ and a cameo in ’10 Days In Sun City.’
