Co-founder of Rolling Loud, Tariq Cherif was seen in a video announcing that the festival would be coming to Africa specifically to Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa. This announcement has caused a spark in music enthusiasts.

Notably, the 2023 Rolling Loud Festival featured a historic performance by Wizkid, making him the first African artist to headline the 3-day international hip-hop music festival since it started in 2015.
