President Tinubu Tells Opposition Parties Presidential Candidate To Be Patient Till 2027
Nigeria’s new President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has revealed that he will pay for the pains that come from the removal of fuel subsidy with the dividends of democracy, says he feels the pains we are facing from the fuel subsidy removal.
If you recall, the former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu had announced during his inaugural speech on May 29th at his inauguration ceremony that there will be removal of fuel subsidy in the country.
However, while addressing Nigerians on Monday, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress said that his decision to remove fuel subsidy during his inauguration ceremony on May 29th was to save the country from going under and take the country’s resources away from the stranglehold of a few unpatriotic elements adding that Nigerians should sacrifice more for the survival of the country.
According to the former Lagos State Governor, he said, “I admit that the decision imposed an extra burden on the masses of our people, however, I feel your pain. This is one decision we must bear to save Nigeria from going under and take our resources away from the stranglehold of a few unpatriotic elements.
