Donald Duke: Peter Obi Was the Phenomenon of the 2023 Election, Despite Not Winning

Donald Duke, the former governor of Cross River state had a discussion with the media where he talked about the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria. Donald Duke said that Peter Obi really did what people didn’t think he could do.

He added that Peter Obi might not have emerged as the winner of the 2023 presidential election, but he’s the phenomenon of the presidential election, and there’s no doubt about that. In his words, he said “Although Peter Obi didn’t win the presidential election, but he is the phenomenon of this election”.

“I know Peter Obi didn’t know he would go this far in the election, but he did and that’s commendable. You don’t underestimate the yearning of good governance. Peter Obi would have still contested as an individual, the Labour party doesn’t have the capacity to be an opposition party”.

Donald Duke commended Peter Obi’s prowess and as I said earlier, he called him the phenomenon of the 2023 presidential election in Nigeria despite not being the winner of the presidential election.
