LP Chairman Julius Abure Plans To Withdraw Peter Obi’s Court Case Against Tinubu Is Still In Motion
The Labour Party’s (LP) national chairman, Julius Abure, has commented on the internal power struggle inside the organisation as well as the legal petition Bola Tinubu’s election challenger, Peter Obi, filed.
In a video posted to YouTube, Abure said that he revealed last week that there were plans to drop Peter Obi’s legal battle and that those behind those plans intended to move forward with their schemes but would be thwarted.
Speaking about the power struggle within the Labour Party, he claimed that since INEC had recognised the winners of the primaries his faction held in Kogi and Imo State, the Lamidi Apapa-led faction should be disregarded.
As said by Abure “Last week, we expressed concern over the proposed withdrawal of and opposition to Peter Obi’s petition. They are still working on that idea, so it hasn’t been entirely abandoned, but we’re waiting for them and prepared to stop them and stand up for the Labour Party.
Therefore, I want to strongly advise the general people to disregard any false information that is spreading, according to the party leadership.
Apapa and his crew shouldn’t be taken seriously because all of our candidates have been uploaded and INEC has already announced the names of those who won in Kogi and Imo States.
That is to say, you shouldn’t pay attention to Apapa and company.
