Adeniyi: Tinubu, Obi, Atiku’s Tribunal – We Are Seeing Tendencies To Blackmail Judiciary
The Deputy Dean of Publish Graduate School, Baze University, Abuja, Professor Abiodun Adeniyi, has hinted that the determination of the petitions filed at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal may not be straightforward; after he revealed that there are tendencies to blackmail the Judiciary.
Adeniyi had stated, “We’re seeing tendencies to probably blackmail the Judiciary; and it’s becoming very very complicated actually, and you’ll want to even sympathize with the justices because the template that’s being set now is that wherever they go, there would still be drawback; whichever aspect they belong to, there would still be drawback.”
Adeniyi, who appeared on Arise Tv, was talking about the aftermath of the February 25, 2023 Presidential election and the part of the Judiciary in the matter. He hinted that there are tendencies that justices wouldn’t discover it straightforward to back either of the parties at the Tribunal; as he revealed that there may be plots to blackmail the Judiciary arm of Government. He described the matter as complicated; and also expressed sympathy for the Judiciary.
Adeniyi, however, didn’t reveal who is behind the purported blackmail or how the blackmailer intends to actualize their plot. He solely insisted that there’s a need to guard the Judiciary, to make sure that the people don’t lose confidence.
In line with him, there wouldn’t be stability if the people don’t belief the Judiciary to deal with legal issues.
