Official: Mohamed Salah Signs New Liverpool Deal, Commits Until 2027

Mohamed Salah has officially extended his contract with Liverpool, putting to rest months of speculation surrounding his future. The Egyptian star will now remain at Anfield until the summer of 2027, providing a significant boost to the club as they look to maintain their competitive edge.
Salah, currently the Premier League’s top scorer, has been a cornerstone of Liverpool’s success since joining from AS Roma in 2017. His decision to sign a new deal comes after a period of uncertainty, during which he openly expressed frustration about stalled negotiations and hinted at a possible departure.
However, a breakthrough in recent talks saw both sides reach an agreement. Speaking to the club’s official website, Salah expressed his excitement:
“I’m really excited. We have a strong team and a real chance to win more trophies. This club gave me my best years, and I want to keep enjoying my football here.”
The new contract means Salah is on track to spend a full decade with Liverpool. He currently ranks as the third-highest goalscorer in the club’s history, behind only Ian Rush and Roger Hunt, having scored 243 goals and provided 111 assists in 394 appearances.
This news comes at a crucial time for Liverpool, who are sitting comfortably at the top of the Premier League, 11 points ahead of Arsenal with just seven matches left. Under new manager Arne Slot, the Reds are in a strong position to clinch their 20th league title, which would see them match Manchester United’s historic record.
While there have been setbacks in the Carabao Cup, Champions League, and FA Cup, Salah’s renewal offers fresh hope for further silverware. Meanwhile, Virgil van Dijk is reportedly close to agreeing a new contract, though speculation continues around Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is rumored to be on Real Madrid’s radar for a summer move.
Salah’s commitment signals a strong intent from Liverpool to build on their legacy and remain a dominant force in both domestic and European football.
